• PSEC Social was a success
• August 22nd meeting will be canceled
• Get It will be an agenda item for the September 12 meeting. Jesse Koennecke will be invited
• Pat S. will attend the September 12th meeting via conf. phone and will appoint someone to chair the meeting
• PSEC selected September 26 as the tentative date for a meeting with committee chairs
• Library Fall Orientation Handout has been funded
• PSA Cabinet has been reviewing the PSA website and will present it to PSEC for review at an upcoming meeting
• The new ReDS chair is Jesse Koennecke

Alumni access to library resources—Pat distributed a summary for discussion prepared by Kornelia

• Issues
• Still offered as a pilot after @ 4 years
• Alumni misunderstand extent of access to library resources with their Cornell net id
• Staff have difficulty identifying alumni when providing assistance electronically
• Actions
• PSEC agreed that CUL’s offerings to alumni should be reviewed and that the question of borrowing privileges for local alumni raised by Peter Hirtle should be included in this review
• Jean will take the issue to LMT

Web Vision Report

• Marty Kurth led a discussion of the report (not yet distributed) with PSEC
• Scope of charge
• Group was charged to look at OPAC, Find It, and the Gateway
• Not looking at this as a local development project
• Need to be creative adaptors of existing technology
• Need to keep Voyager as back end
• Goal of discussion was to provide Marty with feedback.

Instruction--postponed until September 12th meeting
