Reserves
- Statitics are being gathered on the number of library managed Blackboard sites created and the number of course builder sites. The number of articles/chapters scanned and links for faculty managed sites, library created sites, and course builder sites are being gathered. It is not possible to count the number of hits of each article or link.
- The use of the Atlas reserve product, Ares, was discussed. Atlas is working with Blackboard to make the two programs compatible. Jesse will speak with Atlas at ALA.
Cornell Medical / Ithaca campus borrowing procedures
Jesse, Carmen, Joanne, Ed Weissman, and Pat Schafer will have a phone conference with Cornell Medical to explore policies and procedures for reciprocal borrowing privileges.
Disability Services
Bethany Silfer, new CUL disabilities representative, reviewed the Gannett Staff Education Committee project, which is designed to educate staff and faculty on recognizing students and staff who may be in distress and how to respond. The committee will use the library as a pilot project. Planning is underway for Fall training sessions, which will include role playing distress situations and responses. Bethany has met with Student Disabilities Services. She is working with Maureen Morris to make information about library disabilities services more visible.
