Patron Purge
Voyager 6.1 has a patron purge function.  The patron file has not been purged since the Library migrated to Voyager. Lydia reviewed the parameters for a proposed patron purge. Lydia and Pete Hoyt will run a test in January to verify that the program is working.  Jesse and Joanne will look at the test output.  The purge will then be run  in February. Any patrons with historical fines will not be purged.  Patrons will be purged after their record has been expired for a year.  There are currently over 44,000 patron records which will be purged.

Review of draft policy of Display of Art in Public Areas of Olin/Kroch Asia and Uris Libraries
Committee reviewed draft.  Suggestion was made that University Council review the policy and that a check list be created for exhibitors to sign.

Serial Loan Policies
Questions have been raised by users concerning the loan period of journals and serials.  One issue is loan period of Annex serials. Serials from the Annex are loaned for regular loan period for each patron group, with the exception of faculty group who have unlimited  regular loan periods.  The question  has been raised if serials at the annex  should  have indefinite loan periods for faculty. The committee agreed to compile and review the unit policies in light of changing user needs, new delivery services and availability of electronic access.

Voyager upgrade
The group agreed that information about the mid-December system upgrade and resulting unavailability of many library functions should be posted to the Gateway as soon as possible.   Carmen will contact Ellen Marsh about publicity.

Purchasing multiple textbooks for reserves
There is no written procedure on purchasing multiple textbooks for reserves.  Carmen will write up the issues and send them to CDEXEC for discussion.

Committee Membership
Zoe Stewart-Marshall will replace Jim LeBlanc as the LTS representative on the Access Services Committee starting next month.
