This year, one of Library Management Team’s priorities is to expand/coordinate Document Delivery services
Goals:
Turnaround Time Variables: 1. priority placed on document delivery 2. time it takes to appear on desktop 3. cost 4. user tolerance of speed and cost Electronic Resources can be accessed in an instant ILL 2.8 days (non-returnables) 4.8 days (returnables) Annex ½ day (non-returnables) 0.4 days (returnables) Library-to-Library Delivery 2.36 days (non-returnables) 3.1 days (returnables) Borrow Direct 3 days RAPID 1 day (24 hours) Staff costs to fill requests: (Pat can send copy of national figures) Olin ILS BorrowDirect/ILL $5.40 Local DocDelivery Annex $3.70 Elec.DocDelivery Pilot $6.75 salary only (+ 1/3 benefits)
