This year, one of Library Management Team’s priorities is to expand/coordinate Document Delivery services

 

Goals:

  • provide seamless services- make searching for and receiving materials easier for patrons
  • offer fast, effective access to resources within CUL and beyond
  • supply information at the point of thought to save faculty and students time
  • Implemented Library-to-Library Book Delivery in Spring 2004
  • Plans to expand to Library-to-Department Book Delivery in the future
  • Where are our peers?  Out of those that responded:  8 offer free services and 14 charge ($4.84/30pgs)

Turnaround Time Variables:

1.      priority placed on document delivery

2.      time it takes to appear on  desktop

3.      cost

4.      user tolerance of speed and cost
