Library to Office Delivery Final Report 2) 1:30 - 2pm--Special Guest: Carla Demello. Public Services Web presence--Carla will present some preliminary designs 3) If there is any time left, discussion on the ideas the Hunter Rawlings had about library privileges. Minutes: Attendees: Anne Kenney, Kathy Chiang, Pat Court, Zsuzsa Koltay, Oya Rieger, Xin Li, Scott Wicks Guests: Howard Raskin and Carla DeMello 1) Library to Office Delivery Final Report (Guest: Howard Raskin) § Ad Hoc Committee on Document Delivery: Howard Raskin (chair), Carmen Blankinship, Jesse Koennecke, Deb Lamb-Deans, Lydia Pettis, Sharon Wargo § Committee recommendations: o 3 month pilot to begin Fall Semester 2005: o Targeted to faculty only o No fee o Delivery to Department office, not individual’s office o Use Callslip for requests o Student runners will handle deliveries (3-8 hours/week of student wages needed for each library) o 48 business hour turnaround o CUL books are the only materials that can be requested (no Borrow Direct, journals, etc.) o Libraries need to contact departments re: space and hours PSEC recommendations: § Once data is gathered from pilot, approach campus mail to see if they will deliver books (could provide special book delivery envelopes) Action Items: ü Anne will approach Sarah to underwrite the costs of the pilot for the Fall Semester ü Pat Court will provide the Law Library’s delivery statistics to Anne (Management Library also has this service)
2) Public Services Web Presence (Guest: Carla DeMello) § PSEC reviewed the site design presented by Carla DeMello § Scope and purpose of site was discussed and determined to be a working site for the PSEC committees § PSEC recommendations: o Site should be titled: Public Services Administration for CUL o Site should include the committees, memberships, projects, reports, and priorities | ||
