2) Definition of what to include in Find Databases (with Scott Wicks and John Saylor)
· Find Databases will be moving off of Encompass and onto a III (Innovative Interfaces) product; WebFeat draws from both Find Databases and Find Articles
· Due to this change, some questions have come up:
- How valuable is Find Databases?
- What are we missing by using WebFeat databases?
- What are the top databases most frequently used?
ACTION ITEMS:
- More feedback is needed, so hold a morning forum and invite people from Reference and people from Outreach to attend and provide feedback
- Drop lesser used databases from the new list on Innovative Interfaces
3) Public Services-Related Statistics in the CUL Annual Statistics Report (with Nancy McGovern and Linda Miller)
· Linda Miller distributed a handout regarding taking ownership of the public services related areas of the Annual Statistics
ACTION ITEMS:
-PSEC agreed that this is a Public Services function
-Next steps:
- PSEC members should review the annual report (Tiffany to send paper copies of the report to each member) and look for trends by June
- PSEC will consult with the subcommittees in June and request their recommendations (Linda Miller is willing to attend these)
- -Are the suggested list of table distributions correct?
- -Would you add tables?
- -Look at any trends
- -Are there new tables you would like to see?
- PSEC will make a recommendation based on the input to the Council of Librarians
