Open Forum on Reference Statistics Sampling at CUL
(March 20, 9:00-10:30am, Olin 106)
Anne Kenney, PSEC (Public Services Executive Committee) Chair, will describe the rationale for reference statistics sampling and the direction for CUL. Following her presentation, PSEC Reference and Outreach Committee will present a draft statistics form and ask for feedback.
Ida will send an E-mail announcement to CUL on Tuesday morning, and also on Friday; and will attach the draft statistics sheet to the message and/or post it on the committee’s Website. If attaching the form, the recipients will be asked to contact Ida if the attachment does not open successfully.
Mihoko will send a separate announcement message to Linda Miller and the reference unit contacts who she has been communicating with about the project. She will ask the reference contacts to encourage other reference staff to participate in this forum.
All committee members will inform the reference staff in each library so that many relevant staff can attend.
Virginia will check with Xin Li about the refreshment for the forum. If the $65 budget for the forum is approved, she will place an order at Libe Café.
Reference Statistics Sampling Form
Ida prepared a draft reference statistics form, and other members provided some feedback. We decided to include three columns (less than 15 min., 15-30 min, and over 30 min), take out the shade for the total area, and use both sides if needed. We will present this draft statistics form at the open forum on March 20 (Monday).
Next meeting will be 4/10/05 (Monday), Olin 106 @10:30-12:00
