1.  January Information Fair--
Jim and Laura Larrimore attended the Residential Programs Student Staff Resource Fair on January 16 in the Appels Commons.  Many RAs attended the event, and Jim and Laura concluded that what's most useful for such events is visual material the RAs can post on bulletin boards. A map of libraries with contact info would be good. Also a good idea to try to get list of library hours before these events, both in August and January. Kornelia will follow up with Pat Schafer to see if this is a possibility.

2.  Feb 13 Reference and Outreach Forum -   two presentations: Digital References Services Committee will report on options for cooperative chat, while the Citation Management Committee will demonstrate RefShare.  There will also be time to present guidelines on recording questions during RSRS question recording week Feb 26 - March 4.  The group concluded that the degree of specificity of questions for this week will be up to units.

3. February 27th Cosponsored Forum with Access Services on E-Reserves and Blackboard--  Reference and Outreach and Access Services committees will host forum on Feb 27 9-10:30am in 2b48 Kroch. This forum is for both Access Service and Reference Staff--anyone with questions about changes to E-reserves.  A survey of faculty on this topic will be reported at the forum.  The discussion will include what the library can do for patrons.

4. March 20 Usability Retreat/Forum - Jim reported that a forum on usability is being planned by a group from both Reference and Outreach and Usability groups.  The tentative schedule is a morning session, followed by lunch and an afternoon session. Attendees can go to either or both sessions, which will be different.  The forum is tentatively scheduled for Clark 701 Bethe Seminar Room.  More info will go out to the CUL community in early March.

5. Ask a Librarian--Susette reported on the possibilities of redesigning  the Ask a Librarian page and creating an Ask A Librarian bookmark.  The group discussed, and concluded that creating a bookmark and coming up with an easy to remember url for the Ask webpage were top priorities.  Virginia agreed to look into logistics for new url.

6. April 17 Forum on Marketing - So far on the agenda we have Chris Phillip from library communications, who wants feedback for the CUL guide
http://www.library.cornell.edu/communications/LibraryGuide/LibraryGuide2005.pdf  Susette might also want to discuss the bookmark at the forum as well. Possibilities for other presenters will be discussed soon.

5. RSRS system - brief discussion of statistical validity of randomly selected weeks for sampling. The statistics professor consulted was Dr. Russell Lloyd, of Hotel Administration.  Group determined that it would be wise to have a year's worth of data before revisiting the issue of selecting weeks.
