Reference and Outreach Committee Meeting March 5, 2007 9:00 AM 702 Olin Agenda: 1. March Usability Forum 2. April Marketing Forum 3. Ask a Librarian Bookmark Minutes: Attending: Jim Morris-Knower (co-chair, recorder), Jill Powell (co-chair), Susette Newberry, Virginia Cole, Angela Horne March Usability Forum--the group discussed plans for the March 20th Usability forum. Jill will be responsible for drafting publicity and sending out to CU-LIB. Virginia and Angela are working on a program and a web evaluation forum, and Angela will get name tags. Jim will get a laptop, check on Internet connection in Clark, and will invited PSEC members. April Marketing Forum--the group discussed plans for the next forum on marketing in April. Chris Phillip and Ellen Marsh from Library Communications will be speakers. Susette will ask Elle Brown if she wants to present on the grape archives, and Jim will ask Laura Larrimore if she'd like to present on Mann's LCD screen and its pending marketing survey. We'll also try to get some tshirts or totebags from Library Communications to raffle off. Plans for forum also will include a "show and tell" of publicity materials from all unit libraries who wish to participate. Reference Bookmark--group brainstormed ideas for a url to go on a CUL Reference bookmark, marketing our reference services. Potential names include ask.library.cornell.edu; answers.library.cornell.edu; library.cornell.edu/ask.html; library.cornell.edu/askalibrarian.html. We'll try to get these potential names out to CUL before the forum so they can be discussed in person. | ||
