Reboot message for public computers issue to be discussed on a future meeting
PCAC is interested in formalizing a CIT seat on PCAC, and suggests Pat Washburn.
PCAC decided that the co-chairs of the group should be elected
Ryan Krolick and Gabriel Plaine have officially replaced Maureen and Philip on PCAC
PSEC decided that lost flash drives, laptops, etc. should be given to the Cornell Police without trying to identify the owner. PSEC also recommended that the Access Services Committee and PCAC meet to come up with a library wide lost and found policy. Currently, not all units are using the same lost and found policy. It was also suggested that the Library plan a possible campaign to promote id tags on personal items.
Discussion of the student complaint letter to President Skorton regarding access to Library computers
- Michael reported that in Mann: 10 Mac laptops have been added; CIT opened a new computer lab; 2 more computer labs will be opening soon
- Remote access to applications is being researched, and should be discussed at future meeting with Dean Krafft
- PCAC could come up with a plan about needs for computing
